Groundwater is a valuable resource utilised throughout the
UK for public, industry and agriculture supply. Groundwater
also has important associations with many surface water habitats.
The protection of groundwater resources is becoming increasing
important due to climate change and regulatory drivers including
the Water Framework Directive, Groundwater Regulations and part
IIa of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
Alexander Associates can provide a comprehensive service in
the field of groundwater characterisation and management. Our
hydrogeological team have a wide experience in waste management,
mineral extraction, brownfield land regeneration and water resource

mineral extraction and brownfield development;

Alexander Associates have proven experience in liaising and agreeing
practicable strategies with the statutory regulators across the
UK. We use a variety of analytical, probabilistic and numerical
groundwater modelling techniques, including R&D P20, ConSim,
LandSim, Bioplume III, Natural Attenuation Software, Groundwater
Vistas (MODFLOW/MT3D). In house solutions can also be developed
to solve complex or unusual groundwater problems.
