Groundwater Management

Groundwater is a valuable resource utilised throughout the UK for public, industry and agriculture supply. Groundwater also has important associations with many surface water habitats. The protection of groundwater resources is becoming increasing important due to climate change and regulatory drivers including the Water Framework Directive, Groundwater Regulations and part IIa of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
