Alexander Associates employ experienced ecologists fully conversant
with current legislation. Our aim is to work with Clients and,
where on-site ecological constraints have been identified, develop
an appropriate strategy in accordance with legislative compliance
to minimise any impact to site operations and a projects
programme.
The range of ecological services provided by Alexander Associates
includes the following:
- ecological assessment;
- ecological constraints mapping;
- liaison with statutory bodies and regulators;
- legislative review and advice;
- expert witness;
- Phase 1 habitat surveys;
- protected species surveys including badgers, bats, great
crested newts, water voles, otters and reptiles;
- invasive and noxious weed surveys such as Japanese knotweed
and giant hogweed;
- hedgerow surveys in accordance with the Hedgerow Regulations
1997;
- ecological management and mitigation, including translocation
exercises under appropriate licence;
- Conservation Management Plans; and reed bed design for drainage
systems.
